Sampler at the brewpub in Boerne, Texas. ~ 4 oz pour. Deep hazed brown with nitro small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and vanilla cherry sweetness. Taste is cough syrup cherry, followed by malt - toasted and light roast. Roast really comes back out in the finish / aftertaste. Palate is medium bodied, with the creamy nitro palate - the creaminess really brings the syrup cherry to the front, which I didn’t care for. Overall, not totally my kind of beer, but nice enough execution.

Cloudy dark amber color. Some malt aroma. Good mouthfeel, with a lot of sweet caramel in it; correct bitterness, a hint of roasted malt and some alcohol warmth. Good and powerful.

Dark brown color. Nice coffeish aroma. The flavor as well is very much like a coffee, with a good roasted aftertaste, not too dry. Alcoholic coffee, not bad.

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy amber color. Nice aroma of hops, a bit fruity. The flavor is missing some more malt (strange, as the other beers here are well malty), it has some caramel, light vegetables taste, light roasted malt, strong ending bitterness. Unimpressive.

Draught at the brewpub, as Old Speckled Duck ESB
Cloudy amber color with a brown-green hue. The aroma is light, with malt. Good mouthfeel, strong malt sensation, mellow, strong hopping, quite aromatic. A very good American Pale Ale.
