Purchased at Bottles and Cans, enjoyed at home on a Friday night while nursing a bum ankle. Appearance is a lightly cloudy gold with not much head. Aroma of spice and mint, smells delicate. Taste does have lemon/mint notes, but otherwise nothing exceptional about this. It’s just OK.

Taster at Standard Market. Slightly tart, wheaty nose that already carries quite a bit of malt on it. Golden color with a bit of haze. Taste comes in pretty light, lemony... more citrus than tartness. Farmhouse heritage styles in nicely, but it shows enough difference from the standard Saison to be delayed its own thang.

Pour is a clear gold with a smal head. Aroma is not much. A grain malt about does it. Flavor is kolsch dry cracker malt with an odd aftertaste which I guess is the Brett. It is not a bad thing just dries the beer even more. Its an ok beer, neither great nor bad. I don’t think Brett will add much to a beer like this.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home watching a Thursday night Bears game before a weekend in NYC. I wasn’t sure if I was making a good decision in picking this up, and I’m still not sure, but it’s not bad. Appearance is a cloudy corn colored gold with a small white head. Aroma is like a faint buttered popcorn. Taste is decent, can definitely tell it’s a cream ale with moderate carbonation and popcorn / lime notes. It’s interesting and decent.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home while doing some song writing. Appearance is a very cloudy gold with a moderate frothy white head that laces to the glass. Aroma is mostly clove with wild yeast. Taste is very enjoyable with a very nice spice complex mixed delicately with the yeast. Really good stuff.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber with an off-white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has some notes of dark grain with some dark fruits and a bit of cinnamon/vanilla. Flavor has a good amount of light fruit and dark grains with some underlying spice.

Globe/tulip on draft at Links in Wicker Park. Very dark brown color, too dark to see through. The beer has a strong yeastie fruit character. Flavor is lightly grainy and husky. The flavors and beer are not well integrated. Decently light body but all over the place. I like the lightness, the stronger but not too strong carbonation. However, the flavor is all over the map.
