Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a small foamy beige head that left decent lacing. The aroma was strong bourbon, vanilla and wood. The flavor was strong bourbon, alcohol, wood and malt. Very long boozy finish. Moderately full bodied. Quite tasty for a few sips but the booziness becomes overwhelming quickly.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 7/17/2018. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn ice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn ice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.2%. Overall this is an excellent NEIPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Awesome soft feel. Feels like Mosaic, Galaxy, Amarillo. Super juicy and lightly dank hops; perfect wheat/oat/malt balance, mild lingering sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. Even with the lack of much haze, they nailed it.

Aromas of honey, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of lemon, orange, banana, clove, peppercorn, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale/wheat malt, honey, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of honey, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of lemon, orange, banana, clove, peppercorn, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, grassy, peppercorn bitterness; and slight wheat tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of honey, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light banana/clove, peppercorn, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale/wheat malt, honey, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Nicely clean lagering, fruity notes coming from the wheat and honey fermentation. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and fairly crisp/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 5.8%. Overall this a very nice honey wheat lager. All around nice robustness and balance of pale/wheat malt, honey, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, and pretty refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very well balanced between all flavors. Very unique stuff, but a really enjoyable offering.

Can. Coffee, sour milk, chocolate malt, light ash, and hay aroma. Black with nice brown head. Moderately sweet coffee, chocolate malt, mildly sour lactic acid, and mildly bitter dry hay/ash flavor. Body a bit light. Just okay.

Can. Grapefruit juice, biscuit malt, and grapefruit peel aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with large white head. Moderately sweet grapefruit juice, light biscuit malt, and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Good body. Nice grapefruit presence.

Can. Pour in stang is half lighter brown liquid and half foamy alabaster head. Malty nose. Taste is a little medicinal but it hides the 6% pretty well. Roasty, can't really pick out the maple unless its in the slightly cloying thang. Not too bad for a brown rude ale.

Can split at RB Best Encomium share, Santa Rosa, 30/01/16 - Many Thanks ! Pitch black with a dirty tan head. Nose is roast malts, charr, spice, chocolate, toffee. Taste comprises light coffee bean, dark malts, mellow roast, chocolate, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough stout.

Can. Cloudy iced tea look about it. Smell is a sorttah fest nose. Taste is malty and somewhat bold. Yes malty almost medicinal. Gets almost viscous in the end. Thick malty finish, almost cloying but never quite gits thar.

Can split at RB Best Encomium share, Santa Rosa, 30/01/16 - Many Thanks ! Golden orange with a well presetned off white head. Nose is tangerine, lemon rind, straw, toasted malts. Taste comprises orange pith, citric tinged straw, airy malts, toasted grains, light breads. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with moderate hop bitterness. Average for the style.
