Sample at Daily Growler UA. Clear orange color with a medium frothy bone white head that recedes gradually to a film. Sticky small patches of lace. Tropical fruit, herbal hops and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of grapefruit, resiny hops and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

On nitro the Pint Room during the "5th Anniversary!" event. Black pour with some brown around the edges, and a medium thick frothy khaki head that recedes gradually to a film. Partial sheets of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, chocolate and mint. Light-bodied with flavors of roast malt, chocolate malt and mint. The finish is chocolatey and minty. Above average overall.

Decent milk stout, a tad thin and underdeveloped, giving up mild veins of milk chocolate and lactose sweetness but also hanging on to a metallic undertone that hinders the roasty goodness. Finishes unexpectedly dry, with mocha notes offsetting the sugars. Pours black-brown with a clingy tan head and modest lace. Nose seems somewhat weak, chocolate-tinted but some what cardboard-ish. Nice medium body and perky texture. Okay pint.

12 ounce can into dimpled mug, canned on 8/18/2017. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/light copper color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big brown sugar, brown bread crust, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nuttiness, herbal, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice aromas with good complexity of bready malts and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. A bit fruity/yeasty, but not overwhelming. Taste of big brown sugar, brown bread crust, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nuttiness, herbal, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Very mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of brown sugar, brown bread crust, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nuttiness, herbal, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malts and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Nicely clean on lager flavors, minimal fruity/yeasty notes. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth and creamy/bready/grainy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal hop stickiness or dryness. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.4%. Overall this is a delicious Oktoberfest. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malts and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Very clean and rich Munich, Vienna, and Melanoidin malt complexity; with just enough earthy hop balance against sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Sample at the Rhinegeist Rare Beer Fest 10/28/2017. Brown-black color with a medium thick frothy tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patchy lacing. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and graham cracker. Light to medium body with flavors of roasted malt, sweet chocolate and graham cracker. The finish is sweet with a s'mores aftertaste. Pretty good beer overall.

Sample at Old Bag of Nails Gahanna. The beer is a slightly hazy yellow-gold color with a thin white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of wheat, honey and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of floral honey, malt and fruit. The finish is sweet with a honey and malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Taste of big cracker, white bread dough, and biscuit; with lighter notes of honey, lemon, pear, apple, white grape, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, honey, lemon, pear, apple, white grape, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance; and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, bready/grainy, and fairly crisp/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is a delicious Australian pale ale. All around nice robustness of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink; with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Very clean and flavorful bready malt character; with light-moderate balancing earthy hop and fruity yeast complexity in the background. A very enjoyable offering and spot on style example.

Aroma of malt, honey and slight hops. Light-bodied with flavors of floral honey, fruit and mild hops. The finish is creamy with a honey and malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Light-bodied with flavors of herbal wheat, orange, malt and a bit of grassy hop. The finish is wheaty with a citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.
