32oz howler I brought to a tasting. Maybe this brought out a little too late. This was my first rating: Aroma is dry papery. Some green and roast. Flavor or has some licorice and a dry and bitter roast.. Def not 3x choco 737315. Then I feel asleep on solidfunk's couch. Woke up at 5am and took an Lyft back to my hotel. Next day me and my lady finished off the other 26ozs. I did get a bit more chocolate but its was not a big or sweet tooth beer. I'd drink this again.

Roast and some milk. Some caramel and smoke. Black pour with decent head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Decent balance. A little light on flavor is only flaw here. Growler.

32oz growler from Delaware Growler. Dark brown color, can't see through it. Aroma is sweet cocoa, light chocolate, woodsy, earthy, light fruit, and faint mineral. Low esters, low sweetness, and not boozy. Flavor is similarly low on any major common mistakes for such a beer. A lightly fruity yeast touch to a similarly well attenuated, earthy, lightly gritty Belgian malt flavor. The alcohol heft is felt in the flavor but again not what I would call boozy. Medium light body, its present on the palate but not heavy of light. After the courtesy taste it wasn't even an option to not buy the cow. Its truly remarkable how this brewery I've never heard of made such a good beer. Its these 1 in 1000 real out of nowhere surprises that reinforces the whole beer hunting thing.
