Description
Sternburg beers have been produced in an own brewery until 1991. After that it was just a brand produced by "Leipziger Brauhaus zu Reudnitz". In 2012 the brewery was renamed to Sternburg Brauerei as the Reudnitzer brand was discontinued.

Bottle 50cl. @ home.Clear light to medium yellow color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, cardboard, lemon. Flavor is moderate sweet and artificial lemon with a average duration. Body is light, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20090820]

Bottle 50cl.Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, dusty hay, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090813]

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Cloudy golden with a tall, dense and lively off-white head. Aroma primarily of yeast. Light and somewhat watery body, a little citrus with a dry and phenollic finish. 270509

Clear golden with a medium white head. Sweet malty aroma with hints of caramel notes. Flavour was sweet with grainy and caramel notes. Finished bitter.

Hazy yellow with a large white head. Sweet yeasty aroma with banana and wheat notes. Flavour had sweet wheat, malt and banana notes. Finished sweet.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Dry banana estery aroma. Fruity, light wheat malt and estery flavoured. Mild acidic and medium dry finish.

The bottle looks a bit like a cheap beer, the beer in the glass is okay. Starts modest spicy, the finish is weaker, also a bit moldy and metallically. Still drinkable. One of the best Sternburg-beers.
