About
Sternburg beers have been produced in an own brewery until 1991. After that it was just a brand produced by "Leipziger Brauhaus zu Reudnitz". In 2012 the brewery was renamed to Sternburg Brauerei as the Reudnitzer brand was discontinued.

Bottle. (5.2% ABV) Clear, pale golden, with a rocky, white head. Dust, a vague fruityness and hops in the aroma. Quite dusty and grainy flavor, with hay and some bitterness. Thin body and a bitter finish. A beer to stay away from. (070807)

(bottle) Hazy, yellow colour with a fluffy and steady foamy white head. Shy aroma: dusty, slightly sweet and wheaty, a bit clovy with a restrained fruit-character. Medium-sweet flavour with a touch of yeasty bitterness, light to medium bodied and quite smooth on carbon for a Hefeweizen. Wheat-malty, yeasty taste, slightly fruity (banana); wheat-malty, only light-fruity finish with light clovy notes..

(bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a big, moderately persistent, slightly off-white foamy head. Shy aroma, slightly roasted malty with light fruity notes and a touch of caramel and a whiff of metallic hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a medium carbonated mouthfeel. Solid dark malty, slightly roasted taste with light notes of caramel and a tinge of dried fruits; dry finish with partly burnt and hoppy bitterness. Not completely bad, just a bit bland Schwarzbier.
