Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Blond color, clean. Dry and lean, it has some Lager qualities, a bit of crisp malts, light sourness from the fruit.
Simple but clean.

Dark color, almost black. Simple caramel flavor, moderately sweet, but the body is rather weak; mild smoke.
Simple beer, not bad.

Bottle - Smoke and light manure with some caramel on the back ground. Deep dark Amber with a small beige head. Decent smoke and light manure with some dark caramel. Decent.

650ml bottle at Matt’s. Pours a dark amber with a tan head. Aroma is smoky as a hell with mazut notes. Taste is slightly sweet, some dark fruits and loooots of smokiness. Smoky bomb. You to decide will you love it or not.

Reddish-brown, with minimal head. The peat smoke jumps out of the glass, though the base beer is a bit odd - not coming through with any sort of beautiful sugars. On the palate, it’s bigger and fuller than I was thinking...good...this has a lot of that peat smoke, some dryness, and a hit of dark sugars. So not bad. Not refined but it’s got a lot of flavour. Not bad.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out cheap peated malt, toasted caramel and bready malt. Flavour is much more pleasant, with peated malt, toasted bready malt, and caramel. Peaty and caramely on the finish. Nothing complex, but it's pleasant enough.

Black color, brown collar of foam. Soft mouthfeel, roasty but not too dry, and with some dark chocolate note.
Very nice Stout, balanced, sessionable.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out light corn and biscuity malt. Flavour is very clean, with corn, straw and crackery malt. Clean and very drinkable. Very solid for a lager.

Cask - Orange, mint and chocolate. Jet brown black with a small white head. Dark malts, choclate, bitter herbal mint and some bitter orange. It is what it says, but bitterness takes away a bit.

Bright amber. Thin head. on the nose, mellow caramel. Has a bit of coffee, and a touch of caramel on the palate. Bitter hop, but no hop aromatics. Ok brew, but on the palate I’m not picking up enough hop.
