Draft pour at House of Funk, North Van. Copper orange appearance. Thin fading head. Cool constant, soft spices. Bready malts with a wine like finish. Layered saison with plenty going on. Tasty.

On tap at House of Funk, pours a cloudy murky orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of earthy hops, light tartness, and some oak. Flavour is very interesting, with tons of wood hops, lots of earthiness, bourbon barrels, and gentle tartness. This works surprisingly well. The hops, tartness and barrels somehow work cohesively. Very good.

On tap at House of Funk, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is full of sarsaparilla and licorice root. Flavour is very dry and earthy, with tons of root beer, licorice and root beer. Bone dry, very soil-like. Certainly interesting. Not bad, but not exactly my thing.

On tap at House of Funk, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is very fresh, with lots of piney hops, woody resins, and just enough biscuity malt. Flavour is clean and beautifully hoped, with bold piney hops, wood resins, and crisp biscuity malt. Well-hopped, well-balanced. Excellent.

Draft pour at House of Funk, North Van. Clean and bright golden appearance. Lots of Funk up front, soft white grape, amd a hint of berry. A bit of a dry finish. Refreshing finish. Well constructed with the brett and grain. Barely sour. Enjoyed this.

On tap at House of Funk, pours a hazy dark amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out red wine barrels, some bugs, and a touch of citrus peel. Flavour has some saison yeast, very light red wine character, and very Belgian esters. Clean and balanced, with fairly low residual sugars. Pleasant.

On the darker side of amber, and bright. Thin head. Deep spruce, lots of bitterness, assertive forest taste. Gotta be mushroom, bark and bear poop in this, right?

473 ml can. Pours a cloudy reddish brown with moderate fizzy head that settles quickly. Aromas of balsamic vinegar, earthy raspberries, cherries and sharp wheat. Flavors of caramel, soft sweet bourbon, tart earthy berries, dark cherries, old oak and bready malts. Interesting.

473mL can, pours a cloudy, dark pinkish red with a small beige head. Aroma brings out tart raspberries, cherries and cranberries, with light bourbon, plenty of wood, and gentle acidity. Flavour is surprisingly cohesive and complex, with a great mix of lightly tart cranberries, cherries and raspberries, plenty of wood, a touch of bourbon, and light acidity. Not too vinegary at all, with a great cohesion of fruit, barrel character and wild yeast. Finishes fruity and gently sweet. Nicely made.

On tap at The Magnet, pours a cloudy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out pears, kiwi and a touch of lactose. Flavour is fruity, with kiwi and pear upfront, accentuated by lactose. Nothing special here but it's okay.
