About
At Luppolo our beer is equally as important as the atmosphere we create in our lounge. Enjoy our selection of craft beers and delicious food in a warm and welcoming environment, your home away from home located in the “Yeast Van” Brewery District in Vancouver, BC.

Luppolo (pronounced loop-o-lo) means hops in Italian. We chose an Italian name due to the Italian heritage of two of our owners and because the values associated with Italian culture–quality, craftsmanship, community and family–are central to our vision.

On tap at Luppolo, pours a very cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of orange fruit, big resinous hops and a sweet caramel malt base. Flavour is big and chewy, with a big resinous hop profile and a thick chewy caramel malt backbone that doesn't overstate itself. Chewy and quite malty, but well-constructed. Good stuff.

On tap at Luppolo, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out fruity esters, saison yeast and cereal malt sweetness. Flavour is sweet like most North American saisons, with lots of fruity esters, saison yeast, and cereal malt. Despite the inauthenticity of it, it drinks pretty well. Nothing complex or anything, but it's decent.

Dark mahogany color. Aroma and flavor are based on breadcrust, the mouthfeel is drier than expected, the final is a bit weak, but it’s clean.
Nice.

Dark mahogany color. Mild aroma, some notes of hefe yeast and some notes of dark malts. The mouthfeel is lean; it has a rather strong bubblegum character that doesn’t blend well with the dark malts, low sweetness that decreases in the final, and traces of fennel.
So and so.

Hazy blond color. The aroma shows very nice delicate fruits from the hop. The mouthfeel is very dry, a bit weak, it has a mild spicy character from the yeast, and a delicate hop character, vinous, almost Hallertau Blanc; mild bitterness. Some astringency in the final.
Nice.

Golden color, hazy. Moderately spicy, but also a bit too perfumy, and soapy; the mouthfeel is rather dry, the final is on the weak side.
Doesn’t really taste much like a Belgian or American Saison, more like a Belgian Wit, but it’s not bad.

Cloudy blond color. Lemony and acidic aroma upfront, very light yeast cake, altogether it’s very nice. Lean body, lemony flavor, mild acidity, refreshing and flawless.

Pale blond, opaque. The aroma is very nice, there is a citrusy note, with manure. Smooth mouthfeel, well carbonated; it has some lactic acid and lemon, with nice hopping touch, a bit resiny and citrusy. The acidity is mild, nothing aggressive.
Not complex, but it’s a clean and refreshing sour beer.

Cloudy golden color. Fruity IPA, rather sweet too, with mild biscuity malts, and a good hop presence, bringing in oranges, some mango; I’d be happier with less wood/astringent note in the final.
Solid.

Hazy golden color. Mild aroma, plastic. Mild flavor, moderately sweet, with a mild spicy character from the yeast, correct bitterness, some hop resins in the final and some bitter orange.
Ok beer, not impressive; from the other beers it seems that they don’t master yet the Belgian yeasts fermentation.
