Description
This team of owner-operators was formed shortly after the group realized they all were after the same thing, just in different parts of the province. Brewer John Folinsbee was planning a brewery in Squamish, industry veteran Marc Roberts had his sights on Vancouver while entrepreneur Ben Reeder and builder Adam Steinberg were looking at brewing in the Cowichan Valley on Reeder’s hop farm. After tasting John’s recipes they decided to go all in and combine forces to build the 6000 square foot brewery, tasting room and kitchen in Squamish.

Dark brown, big chocolate aroma, lots of fudgey notes on the palate. Good richness. Might get a bit of coconut but don't get the waffles. Tasty.

Growler, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma is loaded with dry cocoa upfront, with some astringent bitterness. Flavour is quite dry, with loads of bitter dry cocoa upfront, with a touch of sweet toasted malt. Cocoa-y but not much else to it. Decent.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours an opaque yellow with a small white head. Aroma is extremely juicy and fruity, with lots of pithy tropical stone fruits, piney hops and light biscuity malt. Flavour follows suit, with a floral, pithy hop character upfront, plenty of stone fruit juiciness, and a biscuity malt backbone. Pithy and juicy palate, with a light bitter finish. Nicely done.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Murky blond color. Nice fruity aroma, sweet oranges. Dry mouthfeel, light malt base, the juicy hops are there, although I think that this kind of beers need more body support and sugars to blend with the juice, hence the final is astringent and chalky. Unharmonious.
I disagree with the style, but it's a very good effort, possibly on the top for a juicy sIPA.

Draught @ Alibi. Black. Thin head. Lots of coffee on the nose, maybe a bit vegetal. A bit coffeeish, harsh. Smooth palate. Bit chocolatey.

Draught @ Darby's. Murky, big hoppy nose, fruity, orangey. On the palate it’s got moderate bitterness, soft body, and again that citrusy hop note. Good brew.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is rich, with roasted malt, earthy coffee and a touch of pecans. Flavour is very dry, with an earthy, medium-dark roasted coffee dominating. Not getting the vanilla and not much of the nuts. Coffee bomb. Good simple coffee beer.

Blond color with compact head. Very clean Lager with a soft malt base, a bit crackery and biscuity, and very moderate hopping.
Nice. Clean and fresh, but not remarkable.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver
Cloudy blond color. The aroma is fruity, tropical, a bit weedy. Moderate sweerness, robust body, ethereal malts, and a very juicy hopping, sweet orange, some pineapple, calamansi, and also robust bitterness. A bit of pot too in the final, and hop resins.
Excellent, powerful, not just juicy. Two-thirds East Coast, one-third West Coast.
