Description
This team of owner-operators was formed shortly after the group realized they all were after the same thing, just in different parts of the province. Brewer John Folinsbee was planning a brewery in Squamish, industry veteran Marc Roberts had his sights on Vancouver while entrepreneur Ben Reeder and builder Adam Steinberg were looking at brewing in the Cowichan Valley on Reeder’s hop farm. After tasting John’s recipes they decided to go all in and combine forces to build the 6000 square foot brewery, tasting room and kitchen in Squamish.

473mL can, pours jet black with a tiny light brown head. Aroma is loaded with coconut upfront, light cola, and a touch of bourbon. Flavour is quite rich, with plenty of coconut, some cola, and soft barrel. For something with allegedly so much coconut, the coconut is not supported well by the base beer, which is a bit flimsy. The barrels are also subdued. The palate is rather subdued for such a big beer. I like it but I recall the base beer being much better.

I left the typo in the name because fuck it. Hazy, with a medium head. Aroma is certainly lemon, lime and lactose. Soft, light acidity. The flavours are artificial but I expected that. It is what it is.

Sampled at Hopscotch 2023, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and dry earthiness. Flavour is dry and malty, with toasted bready malt, a hint of toasted nuts, and dry earthiness. Dry and clean. Nothing special but pleasant enough.

Sampled at Hopscotch 2023, pours a clear bright red with a small head. Aroma is full of yogurty lacto, subdued cherry, creamsicle and more lacto. Flavour is full of lacto, sweet cherry syrup and creamsicle. Too yogurty and not beery. Super lame nonsense.

473 ml can. Pours black with a moderate tan head that settles quickly. Aromas of oaky bourbon, postage stamp, sugary dark fruit, anise, and bready malts. Flavors of boozy bourbon, dry dark chocolate, licorice and roasted malts. Boozy finish. Nice, but not as well integrated as previous iterations as booze leads.

Can from the brewery
Blond, cloudy. Fruity aroma, tropical. It tastes like bitter juice, orange pith, some softer juice in the finish; mild sweetness; the bitterness clashes with the fruit, the only way to save this would have been lots more of sugar.

Opaque, bright peachy, lychee hop aroma. Similar palate, sort of a creamy malt. Moderate bitterness, and it comes across as quite well-balanced.
