On tap at Taylight, pours a hazy dark amber with a small beige head. Nose brings out resinous hops, bready malt and some toasted caramel. Flavour is similar, bringing our ample hops as well as caramel bready malt. But the integration isn't the best. It all falls a bit flat. Meh.

On tap at Taylight, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out a herbal hop character upfront, with plenty of bitterness and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with bitter herbs hops and crisp biscuity malt. A bit too herba and astringent, but it works decently enough. Okay.

On tap at Taylight, pours a cloudy peachy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of yogurty lacto with little else. Flavour is along the same lines, with loads of lacto, followed by artificial peaches and a bizarre sweetness. Barely any sourness, just lacto character. Not a fan.

On tap at Taylight, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out some crunchy vegetables and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is a little cleaner, with grassy hops and crisp crackery malt. Nicely bitter but a bit too vegetal. Decent blonde.

On tap at Taylight, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma smells just like a Barq's root beer, not much else to describe. Flavour is likewise not far off from a root beer, with a bit of cocoa. About the epitome of a root beer beer. No surprise that the European doesn't like it. I think this is as good as this style could get.

On tap at Taylight, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out bitter piney hops, biscuity malt and grass. Flavour is bright and bitter, with astringent grassy hops, some pine, and crisp biscuity malt. As Oakes says, this is a nice hybrid between hazy and old school. Bitter but pleasantly so, with just enough haze. This is quite good.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 4 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 4
On tap at Taylight, pours a hazy dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Nose brings out lots of earthy character, with loads of tart cranberry. Flavour is rather unpleasant, with lots of earthy, cranberry, and a strange vegetal sweetness. This doesn't work well at all. Poor.

On tap at Taylight, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma is very faint, with grassy hops and cereal malt. Flavour is crisp and nicely bitter, with grassy hops, straw and a crisp crackery malt. Has a nice clean character and solid punch. Above average lager - not sure what 2/3 of the other powerful raters were thinking.

On tap at Brewhall, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out grassy, herbal notes and some bready malt. Flavour is very herbal and grassy, with quite a crunchy vegetal character dominating. This is way too vegetal and not on point.

Draft - Fresh hopped version - woody and weedy. Deep Amber witha decent beige head. Bitter, fruity and some floral notes.
