Clear pale yellow gold with a decent white head. Nice orange notes and some citrus peel. Very bitter peel up front and a nice hit of citrus.

Hazy, pale, medium head. Lightly vinous nose, tart, light vinous notes. Some phenols but good balance.

Dark brown. Medium head. Light chocolate on the nose. Lightish body, off-dry, husky and a bit toasty. Comes across simple, and not bringing oatmeal or raisin, so missed opportunity maybe.

Murky purple-brown sort of colour. No head. Tart, light, plum comes through more than the blackberry. Not bad, light sharp and okay fruit character.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Blond colour, slightly hazy. Mild aroma of piney hops, very light rubber. Lean, dry, weaker than some other Cold IPA, light resinous hops, and a stronger mineral expression than the average.
I get some more realistic Cold IPA traits here, but it's not as expressive and good as other "hoppy lagers in disguise".

Can from Legacy LRS, Vancouver
Blond colour, bright, sunny, hazy to cloudy. Strong aroma of piney hops. Crackery malt base, with mild residual sweetness, well structured, enough body; then, potent hopping, mainly resinous, piney, with some dankness; strong bitterness too, like in the old times.
Well made, modern West Coast IPA.

Some haze, dull appearance. Medium head. Earthy hop on the nose but it’s brighter on the palate, more subtropical notes coming up, stone fruits. Malts are creamier and better developed than most cold ipa.

On tap at The Magnet, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out light citrus hops, some white wine grapes, and a little pine. Flavour is full of white whine grape must, piney hops and a touch of sweetness. Nice blend of the wine must and hops, though could use both a little more amped up. Good stuff.

Draught at Yellow Dog, Port Moody
Cloudy blond colour. Fruity aroma. The mouthfeel is a bit soapy, but there is a mild, nice tartness, with grapes, barrels, some astringency, tannins. Very good.

Draught at Yellow Dog, Port Moody
Pale blond colour. For a lager, it's fruity, estery; the flavour is really weak, watery; short finish.
Ok, but quite useless. Lite could mean light abv/cal, this is flavourless.
