Description
We have been best friends of over 30 years, and Container has been our dream for many years. We have been literally building this thing with our barehands, shedding blood, tears and sweat while sharing laughs on the daily. There's never a dull moment here at Container.

The dream is now a reality that is taking shape. We look forward to sharing the results of our hard work with you!

As outdoor enthusiasts we like to get out and experience the world; this is the thinking behind Container Brewing. We want to give people the ability to enjoy good beer anywhere by providing you with only cans of our best products.

We’re building a lounge where you can sit and drink your beer, have a bite to eat, while enjoying good conversation. Our unique space will have you thinking about where to sit before you even arrive.

Our Head Brewer, Tim Juul, comes to Vancouver with a different perspective. His brewing techniques, and recipe styles, come from his experience in the New England area. We love what he's done for us so far and we know you will too.

2024-03-24, vertical tasting, can vintage 2020 (3.5 years old, 7-4-8-4-15=38) and can vintage 2022 (1.5 years old, 7-4-8-4-16=39, )
The 2022 has accents of burnt sugar and petrol; the 2020 has some liquorice and signs of decline; both are fairly roasty and warm, but not excessively.

2021-11-10, can from The Gull, North Vancouver, canned 28-Oct-2021, 7-4-8-4-17=40
Roasted malt aroma, and very light bread and yeast. Full bodied, bold roasted malt flavour, burnt sugar, dark caramel, with moderate residual sweetness, a trace of liquorice, and an evident alcohol punch.
Very good also this year.

2020-10-10, can from the brewery,

2020-09-17, on nitro tap at the brewery, 7-4-8-4-17=40
Black colour with compact, large brownish nitro head. I usually hate nitro, but since this is so bold, it still manages to give back; the body is full, the mouthfeel is smooth, big roast, but balanced by some sweetness, toasted hazelnuts, and although this is not BA, it has whiskey notes and strong alcohol.
I would gladly sip on a pint of this.

2020-09-17, draught at the brewery, 7-4-8-4-16=39
Black colour with compact brownish head. Big roast character, some residual sweetness to balance it, the alcohol can be perceived, but it's a solid one.
Very good.

2019-11-22, draught at the brewery, 7-4-8-3-15=37
Black colour. The aroma is on the mild side, light bread and some roasted malts. Good body, although we are getting used to thicker beers; it has a good roasted malt flavour, dark chocolate, moderate sweetness, and a quite strong alcohol presence. Good, I think I'll get some cans…

Draught at the brewery; called Pour Les Mineurs Frais and tagged 3.8% today on tap
Hazy blond colour. The arom ais fresh, mildly fruity and earthy. The mouthfeel is not too dry or weak; it has a very interesting character, lingering between fruity and spicy.
Very nice.

Draught at the brewery
Ligght amber colour, relatively clear. Mild malt base, with delicate fruity esters and balanced bitterness; a quite drinkable British Ale that doesn't have the more robust, earthy character of an ESB.

Draught at the brewery
Hazy golden colour. The aroma is piney and fruity, touch of tropical. The malt base is sweetish, some crisp bread; the hop is moderately piney and citrusy, orange peel, light touch of tropical fruit.
Quite modern in concept, with such good hop character it could perform better if drier. But also like this it's very good.

Draught at the brewery
Hazy blon colour. It has a decent malt base and a tad more bitterness than other North American Lagers, hence not too bad.

Draught at the brewery; on nitro
Pitch black colour with compact beige head. Smooth, with moderate roasted malt character, dry, a bit weak in the finish.
Ok beer, not a fan of nitro anyway.

16oz at Alex's (thx, man!) shared with Andrey. Appearance: murky blonde with a white head. Aroma: tropical fruits, flowers, some booze. Taste: along the same lines, quite boozy. Overall: quite boozy for me, ok.

Can from Legacy LRS, Vancouver
Cloudy dark blond colour. The hop is moderately juice (aroma and flavour(, not very bright though. There is a bit of residual sweetness but the body is weak; faint malt, some yeast; at least it's not chalky; very mild bitterness too.
Not bad.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Dark blond, slight haze. The malt smells and tastes like paper, the bitterness it too low for a Pilsner, not much hop quality.
Modest.
