Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Cloudy blond colour. It's a bit less citrusy and more dank than Field 2; it's off dry, moderately astringent, with correct bitterness. Good, a bit dirty.

Clearish gold with a rich white head. Stone fruit and some dirty funk. Soured and sweaty funk notes with some stone fruit. Funky and sweaty all the way through.

On tap at 33A, pours black with a small brown head. Nose is rich and roasty, with a deep roasted malt character, dry coffee, and hearty oats. Flavour is rich and complex, bringing out a deep roasted malt character upfront, followed by molasses, some coffee, and a touch of cocoa nibs. There's certainly sweetness there, which is well-situated; it balances with the deep roast very well. This reminds of their Black Is Beautiful release last year. Rich and roasty. Excellent.

On tap at 33A, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Nose is fairly dank in the hop department, citrus hops, pine, and a little stone fruitiness. Flavour has good clean hop expression for a hazy, with lots of potent dankness, piney hops, a little citrus zest, and a touch of juiciness. Pungently dank and piney, which is what I love — they nailed this hazy. Excellent.

On tap at 33A, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of fresh lemon, a little lemon zest, and a touch of lacto. Flavour is loaded with lemon, plenty of lacto and moderate acidity. Typical kettle sour, with a yogurty palate and little depth. Uninteresting, but competently made.

16oz @ Ryan's. Appearance: cloudy straw with a white head. Aroma: tropical fruits with some freshness on the back. Taste: along the same lines, lots of quite aggressive herbal notes, moderately juicy, quite bitter aftertaste. Overall: a bit aggressive, but it's pretty good.
