Opaque and pale, slight orangey colour, and a fairly thick head. Orangey nose, lots of that peel, fairly big body, medium bitterness. Good pale malt. The coriander is coming in a bit harsh, but otherwise there's a lot to like here. Some esters. Not refined, but a good example.

473ml can. Pours a hazy blonde with a small, foamy, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, pineapple and funky lacto. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy wheat malt, pineapple, floral hops and a hint of salt in a dry, acidic, tart lacto finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Juicy and refreshing.

Poured from 473mL can from Jaks attached to Great Bear pub (batch #789-90; bb Oct 27/2023). Hazy blonde yellow with white head. A bit bland, some chalky yeast, feint hop burn with a generic citrus hop profile. Lacklustre.

Poured from the tap. Clear-ish blonde with small white head. Not really what I would expect from Nelson Sauvin. Kind of a tropical citrus hop note, must be the terroir in NZ. Enjoyable.

Poured from 473mL can @ Jaks Burnaby (attached to Great Bear; pkg 23/02/23, batch #778-9). Hazy dull blonde with small white head. Lacto, salt, feint mango, no Mezcal, meh.

Poured from the tap. Near black with beige head. Dry roast malt, mild bitterness offset by the creaminess of the nitro, very feint fruit note. Okay.

On tap at Darby's, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle pineapple, salt, and lacto. Flavour is mineraly, with plenty of salt, pineapple and lacto. Not authentic in any way. Nothing all that impressive here but it's made semi-competently I suppose.

Dull and gross greyish colour. Aroma is nice, though, salty tart mango, not getting mezcal but nevertheless a respectable product.

473ml can. Pours a clear copper amber with a small, foamy, short lived, beige head that laces. Mild aroma of toasted caramel malt, earthy yeast and floral hops. Sweet flavour of toasted caramel malt, raisin, plum, earthy yeast and light piney hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Could use more hops, but still enjoyable and easy to put back.

Tangerine and some mango. Murky yellow pour with ok head. Light hop tang finish. These guys make better west coast IPAs than hazies. At least in my opinion, that is a good problem to have. Tap at brewery.
