Poured from 473mL can (pkg Feb 10, 2022). Hazy blonde with white head. Light floral citrus aroma. Taste of citrus hops, oats, and a feint drying alcoholic varnish remover background that puts a damper on the promise you expected from the aroma. It's fairly subtle, and doesn't completely wreck the beer, but enough to downgrade it.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Hazy pale blond colour, the head disappears quickly. Gentle hop aroma, citrus zest, floral. Light mouthfeel, it's off-dry, some crisp malt, some wheat or oats, at least there's no chalk; light acidity; balanced bitterness, with some citrus peel character.
Pleasant, and clean, but timid.

Poured from the tap. Clear bronze with off white head. Mild caramel malt, feint dark stone fruit, lacks depth, boring, but nothing wrong with it.

Can from Jak's Parkcrest, Burnaby
Dark brown colour, beautiful beige head, compact. A bit sweeter than the German Doppelbock, a bit more caramel, indeed closer to a bokbier, that usually is less interesting than a doppelbok, but not in this case, because the doppelbock is simple. Good.

Dark brown colour, with beautiful beige head, compact. Some caramel, malt, dark sugars, but lacking sweetness, lacking depth, and with a light sour note. Ok beer. The Dutch version is better, but mostly because this one is a mediocre Doppelbock.

Cloudy yellow body and okay foam. Aroma is yeasty fruit of no distinction. Taste is citrus, smoke, yeast, and ends a little too thin, No idea here, except that there's room for improvement.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver, tag 425-428 Funk Water
Pale blond colour, hazy, large head. Aroma of grass fields, and hay. Dry, soft mouthfeel, rather weak; mild crispiness, hints of malt, and spicy hop, with more bitterness than 18 IBU would suggest.
Pleasant.
