Can from Beer Republic. Aroma is tart fruits, lemon, lacto, some bready wheat and tropical notes. Flavour is tart and mildly sour with a light bitterness. Medium body with low carbonation. An okay kettle Sour, lacks the bitterness to make it an IPA.

Dark brown, not much head. Soft, boozy, light toffee notes. Heavy barrel on this…bit over the top for me.

1 pint can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Light aromas of caramel, maple syrup and toasted malts. Flavors of maple syrup, definite salt, a bit of caramel, and sweet toasted malts. Maybe some barrel behind the maple syrup, but hard to tell other than some booziness. OK, but expecting a lot more based on this series and pricing…

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of woody oak, a touch of bourbon, and dry, moderately roasted malt. Flavour is rich and complex, with big bourbon barrels, brown sugar, a little coffee, and a little cocoa. Moderate sweetness, with excellent barrel expression and balance. Wonderful.

At a Beermalade tasting. Med-thin body, low carbonation. Lacks both richness and intensity, but is pretty good. Shitloads of coffee, kinda hard to find anything else here. Good but not great. High sweetness, medium bitterness. Okay.
