About
David Cole and Peter Erickson are the founders and co-owners of Epic Brewing Company. Cole and Erickson, originally from California, started an international aquaculture company in Utah in 1992. In 2008, Utah law changed allowing these two entrepreneurs to pursue their longtime dream of opening a strong beer microbrewery in Utah, like those they frequented in the Golden State.
Admittedly, beer geeks, foodies, and "Epic" adventure junkies, share a passion for making and drinking fine ales and lagers. The Epic team has a strong belief in doing everything "all out."

Can (from Alko web). More or less black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some herbal, mild toasted and ashy notes with old cold coffee as well. Flavour is coffee, some roasted malts, mild herbal tones with some nutty elements. Nice roasted old coffeeish aftertaste.

Schöner kann ein Bier nicht aussehen, schön dunkel, Creme-Cappuccino-Schaum. In der Nase Malz, vielleicht ein Hauch Kirsche. Im Trunk milchig, cremig, Schoko, leichte Frucht, sehr hohe Drinkability, passt.

Bottle picked up from Beer Republic webshop Breda Netherlands and consumed at home Friday 19th January 2024 listening to Compost Records Drum and Bass Selection Vol 1, in the company of Nick and Anna. Pours shark eye black with a fast disappearing tan coloured head, raspberry showing a little on the nose and then in the mouth, sweet and fruity but all told whilst fine a little bit forgettable.

Golden, cloudy with a white head. Good portion of oppines aroma, topical fruit sense. Lots of bitterness with a hop and hops end.

5oz. Vintage 2021. Appearance: very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: American oak, chocolate, a bit of cinnamon, maybe a bit of mescal, charred oak. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: good one.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, not that much head. Aroma is cocoa, some dark chocolate, mild alcohol with some slight coconutty tones too. Flavour is cocoa, some chocolate, coconut, mild roasted and alcohol tones to it. Smooth, but a bit too much cocoa.

355ml can at home. Bbe 10.10.24, sure does not feel like that. Light amber in color, unclear. Citrusy hops, bready malts. Light bitterness. Feels like age got the best of this beer.
