Prairie Dog Brewing
Brewpub
in Calgary,
Alberta,
Canada 🇨🇦
Associated Venue: Prairie Dog Brewing
Established in 2016
Ever since our founding in early 2016, we aimed to become a renowned destination that would be known as an integral part of our community, and which people would aspire to be a part of, whether as patrons, staff, entertainers, artists, partners, suppliers or service providers. We opened our doors to the public in June of 2018, and have experienced tremendous success and support from Calgarians, as well as the Alberta community as a whole.
Our tag line is “Beer, Barbecue, Friends”, because we want to bring people together in our conversation-friendly, family-friendly, easy-going setting to commiserate over beer and barbecue. COVID-19 really threw a wrench in our plan, but that didn’t stop us from providing world-class barbecue and craft beer to Calgarians through takeout and delivery, and finally reopening for Dine-In on August 24, 2020.
Come in to enjoy BBQ and beer in our spacious brewpub with some of the best COVID-19 safety precautions in the city. With our HVAC efficiencies our entire brewpub is like an indoor patio with the air being 100% replaced every 45 minutes. See you soon BBQ and Beer friends!

On tap at Prairie Dog, pours a deep dark brown with an amber tinge and a small beige head. Aroma brings out sour red fruits, with bourbon oak chips and toasted malt. Flavour tastes like it went off, and then they tried to rectify it - unpleasantly sour, cheap bourbon, and a thin malt bill. This sucks.

On tap at Prairie Dog, pours a deep dark brown with an amber tinge and a small beige head. Aroma brings out light toasted oak chops and earthy notes. Flavour is oaky, with a little nutmeg, and earthy malt. Too much nutmeg for me.
