Clear 0,33 l bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot! Cloudy golden in the glass, two finger white head. Low citrus on the nose, hints auf grain. Taste? Not a lot. Some citrus with sweetness and cardboard grain. Low bitterness. Above average carbonated. Meh.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear, deep golden with a white head. Lightly sulphurous aroma. Medium body, subtle sweet malts, some sulphur and a light, dry bitter finish. Straight and solid. 260121

I remember visiting Brauerei Hartmannsdorf, close to Chemnitz, in 1991, just after die Wende. The brewer showed me the brewery, that was very old, rusted and badly needing maintenance. The beers were alright, though. To my utter surprise, the brewery has survived the economic crisis in the former DDR, has been renewed and now brews this type of beer. Ahem. Grainy aroma with apple. Thin grainy apple flavor. Medecinal aftertaste. Just barely drinkable. The former DDR wasn’t all bad.....

Bottle from kappldav123, thanks! Pale amber color. Bready aroma with toffee. malty sweet flavor, bready, toffee. Hint of smoke. Hazelnuts. Sticky mouthfeel.

Tap. Hazy ruby-ish color with soapy white head. Aroma is cherry liquor, cola. Taste is cherry liquor, chocolate, cola. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not as bad as expected.
