Belgian esters, stone fruit and lychee. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Estery, light bitterness and black pepper. Well within the standard of the style. Maybe a touch of esters.

33 cl bottle at Sky Bistro, Mt Sulphur, Banff, Alberta, Canada, Earth. It pours hazy wheat-yellow, some greenish hues. Off-white head is sticky and long-lasting. Aroma is almost non-existent: just a hint of mushroom sauce-covered pasta (yeah, really, I mean it) and some brioche. Refreshing, lo-carb, long-lasting finish with some well-balanced striking finish. Good.

330ml bottle with a really cool label. Pours a clear dark brown with amber hue and a medium, creamy, long lasting, beige head that laces nicely. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, coffee, nuts and light ash. Sweet flavour of toasted grainy malt, dark chocolate, caramel, prune, ash, nuts and a hint of smoke with a dry, mildly bitter coffee finish. Light to medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Pleasant.

On tap. Pours a clear gold-yellow with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of grainy malt, apple, lager yeast and grass. Sweet flavour of grainy pale malt, apple, lemon peel and light floral hops with a crisp, dry, mildly bitter grass finish. Light body with a smooth, watery texture and soft to average carbonation. Refreshing, not usually a fan of this style, but this is an excellent Czech Pilsner.

330ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange-amber with a small, fizzy, short lived, off-white head that leaves spotty lacing. Mild aroma of biscuit malt, caramel, grapefruit rind and floral hops. Sweet flavour of biscuit malt, caramel, orange, grapefruit and grass with a dry, mild bitter, floral hop finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Ok.
