Description
The Compañía Cervecera de Canarias (CCC), based in Santa Cruz de Tenerife , was founded in 1939, starting to make a beer that would be called Dorada. In 1994 it merged with the Canary Industrial Society (SICAL) of Gran Canaria, which was the old La Tropical brewery founded in 1924. Currently, Compañía Cervecera de Canarias has more than 300 Canarian entrepreneurs among its shareholders and is part of the AB InBev International Group.

Old rating from 13-04-16 - A limited edition 330ml bottle found in Lanzarote. Pours a clear amber reddish colour with a off white head. Aromas of caramel, grains & malt. Tastes of roasted malt, caramel, grains & corn. Aftertaste of caramel with medium bitterness. Overall the best I've tasted from this brewery.

Old rating from 03-03-16 - 250ml green bottle brought back from Fuerventuera. Pours a amber colour with small white head with medium carbonation. Aromas of malt & grain. Tastes of cardboard, grains, cereals and sweet malts with a very mild bitterness.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Clear golden, small head. Papery nose. Sweet with light to medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Cardboard and cooked vegetables. Low bitterness.

Old rating from 16-02-16 - 330ml bottle, 5.5 ABV, brought back from Fuerventuera a few months ago. Pours a amber colour with a fair amount of carbonation. Aromas of butterscotch & malt. Tastes of butterscotch, malt, grain & corn. Aftertaste is dry & light.

Old rating from 09-01-16 - Brought back from Fuerventuera. 250ml bottle. Pours a yellow colour with a white head than disappears quickly. Aromas of grain & malt. Tastes is of grain, biscuit & malt. Aftertaste is fairly soft with mild malt flavour. Overall a much different drink out of the country.

3/5/2025. Bottle bought at the Norwich Arts Centre fundraiser following the World Beer Awards. Good looking beer. Pours clear deep amber bronze with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is malty, toffee, fruited, toasted. Medium sweetness, bitterness and body. Average carbonation. Quite okay.
