Peak Organic Brewing Company was founded in Portland, Maine in 2005 by Jon Cadoux. We are a small brewing company dedicated to making delicious, creative, hand-crafted beer. The brewing team works with over 40 amazing farms all around the Northeast that are growing some truly flavorful hops, wheat and barley. The resulting Peak Organic beers embrace these pure, natural ingredients and offer a range of fresh, complex styles.

Bottled@Post-Xmas-Saveur-Xmas-Calendar party. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel, some slight dark malts, mild and some floral notes. Flavour is parfumeish, soapy and mildly toasted with some toffee and herbs.

12oz bottle thanks to ditmir. Pours out a hazy cloudy rusty golden topped with a white head. Nose is pine some tropical fruit notes and a sweet malt. Taste is more of the pine citrus a little tropical fruit hops and a nice malt.

Keg at Lui Lui’s - WL NH. Pours clear yellowy gold with a fine, white cream head. The nose has some pale bread, ripening lemon, biscuits. Light sweet flavour with pleasant citrus notes, lemon and graoefruit, crispy pale malts, mild bitter citrus rind. Light-medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced in the finish, more citrus notes, understated bready sweetness, some rind and light pine. Real nice.

12oz bottle thanks to ditmir. Pours out a dark amber topped with a sand head. Nose is chocolate spice pine maybe spruce. Taste is more of the nice sweet malts chocolate notes spice and a little hoppy bitterness on the end.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 19A). Bottle 35.5 cl - Batch unknown (BBF 30.09.2017). AROMA: medium hop aroma with notes of grapefruit, lime and mild passionfruit. medium-low malt background with a neutral and very faint sweet presence. APPEARANCE: amber color and clear. medium ivory head with good retention. TASTE: medium-low hop flavor with notes of grapefruit. low malty background, somewhat sweet, with a very faint toffee character. medium-high bitterness with an almost dry and bitter finish. PALATE: medium body with moderate carbonation. no astringency. OVERALL: an american amber ale with nice hop character but where the malt is a bit mutted.

Draft: Honey, dandelion, lilly nose. Clear chestnut, medium yellow head, good lacing. Pecan, dried leaves, grass. Medium body, easy carbonation. Poundable, flavorful, well hopped for the style.

Amberfarget klar med høyt beige skum som legger seg fint. Mye humle i lukt, sydhavsfrukter, melon og lett karamell. Middels fylde. Lett fruktig bitterhet, sydhavsfrukt, noe røde bær, malt mot brent karamell. Kort.

Can: Hay and dough nose. Cloudy yellow, a vortex of wispy sediment. medium head, nice lacing. Grassy hay, noble hops prominent. Light body, moderate carbonation. Great pilsner.

Flaska från SB. Vinteröl 2016. Mörk färg för stilen, medelhögt skum. Doft av tropisk frukt, persika, aprikos, kolaremmar tallskott. Mjuk rund och lätt kropp, torr för en amber med fruktig humlesmak och lätt beska. Ralativt komplex för att var så lätt med lite kola och kåda i bakgrunden. Trevlig.
