Bottle pour into glass tumbler from Greg & Jane’s Beer and Wine. Aroma is biscuit malty base with strong lemon (real strong, like Pledge or natural bug spray). Appearance is slight haze, golden yellow with huge sparkle, finger-width creamy white head with fantastic retention and nice lacing. Taste is strongly lemon--a bit too much--too tart for my tastes and so strong that it almost approaches shandy level. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, average carbonation and dry finish. Overall, light and refreshing for spring/summer but they went too far on the lemongrass--no nuance here.

Cask at Cask and Vine yesterday. Somewhat hazy light brown color with a decent sized tan head. Caramel butterscotch and light earthy hops with just a touch of nuttiness. Surprised I hadn’t had this before, its not too bad.

Bottled 355ml (Alko, ABV 5.1%)
Slightly hazy orange color, small white head. Grainy, a bit sweetish aroma. Unclean yeasty feeling. Light-bodied. Grainy with grassy and herbal hoppyness. Somewhat harsh with clean finish. Very typical organic flavors.

Clear golden coloured body with a faint copper hue with a thin off-white head. Aroma of grass, hay, yeast, light metal and a nice fresh hop kick that’s fairly minimal. Light-bodied; Strong grassy flavour at first with a herbal kick and a touch of bananas and very little else. Aftertaste shows some herbs, grass, hay and not much more except for a hint of a metallic twang. Overall, a pretty uninspiring beer with a little hint of grass, hay and hops and not much complexity at all. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Fair Lakes (Fairfax), Virginia on 16-February-2016 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 29-April-2016.
