On tap at Rooftop, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of fresh oranges upfront, with a nice bright citrus character. Flavour is similar, with oranges notes, some citrus and some messy yeast. Not especially well-constructed or interesting. It's okay.

On tap at Rooftop, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out light grassy notes and toasted biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp, with notes of grassy hops and crisp biscuity malt. Not very deep or biting. Underwhelming even for a pils. Meh.

On tap at Rooftop, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out a nice floral dry hop character upfront, with subtle dry apples. Flavour is bizarre, with rotting apple core and dry floral hops. The rotting apple core really fucks this up, making this rather undrinkable. No good.

I have to applaud Rooftop for this beer. Not only did they come up with a sour ale by drawing ingredients from a hat at random (seriously), but they also issued me a warning before pouring it, telling me to drink at my own risk. Expirimental ale to a point, and not afraid to admit. I love it. A cloudy orange pour with almost no head. Pure seaweed aroma. Salt water included. Cucumber comes through much more in flavor giving this a semi refreshment. I.can’t hate on this beer.much, it is executed exactly what they were trying to make. It’s not their fault these ingredients aren’t capable of making a good beer, though I’m willing to try any beer that wants to protest that theory. Minus the salty kelp side, this has a refreshing cucumber flavored constant. Slightly juicy. Unique obviously. What a trip this was. Anyone reading this, please try this beer. It will be a new and unique beer experience to your beer loving journey.

32 oz growler filled at Hop and Hound. I’m actually having a bit of fun with this series. Looking back at notes, all seem to have their distinct qualities. I just wish they were all released at the same time so I could run a blind flight of them and quiz myself on all this hop knowledge. I wouldn’t put any money on my performance there. I’m not at the point to where I can really say I love or hate any specific hop, but getting a good idea starts with a beer like this. Hazy golden pour with a foam lingering head. Less than pleasant, sweaty hop aroma. Spicy dominant malt here, with very little hop impression keeping up with it. Subtle grassy hop shows up, juicy, and lacks any real bitterness. Has a vegetal quality as well. Not sold on this version of the single hop. Quite lackadaisical as an IPA overall.

Draft pour pint at the Collective. Pale golden orange color with a rocky foam head. I’m always a fan of a series of single hop IPAs. Especially when we see some hops that are less than obvious. Fun try here. Malt forward aroma and flavor, with a juicy, sweet hop secondary. Malt profile lingers, but it’s tasty. Orange fruit. Juicy. Very nice beer, and I enjoy the base. I really hope they continue with this series.

Draft pour pint at the Hop and Hound/ Bothell block party. Brownish copper pour with a fading head. Sugar sweet and fruity hop aroma. Grassy hops throughout, with a constant sweet reminder. Potent presentation. Drinks nice though. Sweet, juicy, yet bitter finish. Fun imperial. A feeling good after one type of deal.

Draft 9 oz pour at Rooftop. Pours a dark brown with a tan foam head. Balanced malt and hop aroma, though odd overall. Flavor is vegetal hops, rough malt, and a grassy finish. Rough beer for me. Sipper for the wrong reasons. Not great.

Draft half pint, as a result of a killed keg. Bright orange hazy pour with an off white foam head. Malt forward aroma with significant spice, and maybe some banana. Flavor is bold, dusty malt, nutty backgound. Overall a lot going on for an esb. Pleasant, and enjoyable for sure.
