Description

Boule at the Breizh Cafe, Nagoya. Fresh apple aroma. Very ripe flavor--some honey, quite sweet, but clean and refreshing. A bit spicy too. Simple but tasty and good.

250ml bottle, 5% abv, found at a food market in Paris. Nice orange with plenty of carbonation, modest amount of head. Aroma of mouldy cheese and sweet apples, maybe some fried egg in there too. Taste is a soft and dry cider, no sweetness, and a dry champagne-like finish. Quite nice.

Bottle from Carringtons, Chorlton. Poured a clear and yellowy gold with a small white head. Nose was suitably green apple laden. Very crisp and clean taste, with some tartness. Dried out towards the finish. A very drinkable cider, nice one.

Bottle, 75cl corked. A very lively golden-orange cider. No head. Autumn orchard, apple cores and a yeasty and funky touch in the aroma. It’s medium-bodied and effervescent, a bit sweet for my palate, but it tastes nice and has that quenching quality. Apple cores, sourness and some yeast in the flavor. Lasting finish with sourness and apples. There’s also a dry, earthy touch in the finish. A nice one indeed, well suited as a thirst quencher or as a companion with some cheese. 100710

750ml bottle. Nice, clear golden body, champagne lively bubbles and an immediately diapering white head. Aroma is apple, wood and a hint of barnyard. Flavor is nice and refreshing with a clear apple flavor, moderate acidic, wood/oak, slightly oxidized and rather dry. This is what real cider is about, very nice.
