Description

Hazy orange-amber. Very discreet nose, dry apples. Dry apples, old wood, tannines. Sourish finish with orangerind flavour. Very carbonated, but not really fizzy. Fruitsugars-syrup MF. More than decent for a snackbar cider!

Bottled, from Alko Vaasa. Deep golden colour, no head. Aroma is apples, some wood and mild vanilla. Also slight herbal notes. Flavour is dry apples, some acidic notes. Not very interesting.

Bottled, from Alko, Vaasa. Honeyish golden colour, small white head, that disappears fast. The cork did a nice flight, but the cider didn’t live enough to make a fountain. Aroma is very much barnyard along with some tart and sour apples and earth cellar. Actually slight strawberry notes as well. Flavour is apple, some vanilla, earth and quite cheesy. Mediumdry palate. Surprisingly complex and fullbodied for being 5 %.

Beautiful golden color; fine perlage; thin persistent head (half of the surface). It has a very nice aroma of mature apples. Quite good apple flavor, but the mouthfeel is completely dry, tannic, astringent, quite extreme among ciders; a bit woody; almost no sweetness; therefore the final suffers, it’s too dry. It’s a cider that pushes to the extreme tannic character, difficult but different.

Beautiful color, cloudy orange; a persistant perlage keeps a single-layered head. It has a very nice aroma, of ripe apples and hazelnuts. The mouthfeel is almost immediately dry, getting very astringent at the end; there are flavors of red apples and cheese. Maybe too astringent, but good.

Deep blond color. Delicate aroma, both woody and lightly sour. Medium dry mouthfeel, with tarty woody astringency, a clean flavor of red apples peel and very light vanilla, some dry apple juice flavor too. At the end, despite some fruity sweetness, some tannic astringency still wraps the mouth. Good.

Deep blond color; finer bubbles than the Brut. Sweetish apple and apple juice aroma. Good mouthfeel, medium sweetness; similar to the Brut, we find here a delicate tannic astringency and red apple peels, that the sweetness complement into a very pleasant flavor. The final is well balanced with these elements. Very pleasant.

A French wine store was selling this in Vientiane. It has a fiery copper colour; a very earthy, metallic, rich apple aroma; an earthy flavour that is slightly nutty and quite rich. The carbonation is moderate and the finish deliciously earthy. So good for so little alcohol.
