Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound. A bright, shiny golden pour. Spiraling foam head and lacing. Wasn't sure about the flavorbon this at first, but it really grew on me. I really get the oats on this, a lot more so than any other oatmeal pale I've had. Creamy body, but not too thick. A mild peaches and cream like aroma, which is very nice. I can get on board with this one. Tasty and flavorful.

Draft pour at Hop and Hound. A dark, purple-ish brown pour. A wine like sour red fruit aroma to this, which surprised me that the barrel was whiskey opposed to wine. Flavor is sweet and sour both. Tart winning. A bit of a whiskey note comes through on the flavor to straighten it all out. A good sour here. Not sure about pilot specifically, but a nice amount of dark fruit that doesn't overpower, and blends nice with the whiskey and oak. Good stuff here.

Draft pour to a schooner at Overflow Taps, Lynden. First visit to this taproom, feels right to try a beer they had a hand in on. It’s cool that this place is here. Unexpected to find it out here. A darker reddish brown pour with a thin fizz head. Flavor is a sweet, creamy chocolate, with a soft nutty grain background. Seems like they pretty much nailed the flavor they were going for too. Flavorful. A little sweet. Not bad

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out the cold brew coffee upfront, with just a hint of lactose sweetness in there. Flavour is much more balanced on the coffee and lactose, with moderate sweetness from the sugars and moderate light toasted coffee. Nice silky palate with a good balance and moderately sweet finish. Good stuff.

Draught @ Elizabeth Station. Hazy, pale amber. and not much head. Basic kettle sour nose, a touch yoghurt. Tart, with some hop bitterness, and some berryish hop fruitiness. The bitterness is really intense...much more bitterness than other hoppy sours. Not the right balance.

On Tap at Elizabeth Station, Bellingham. Hazy deep golden. Thin wispy white head and spotty lacing. Some light tar lemon flavors, lots of bitter hop notes. Quite biting and soapy actually.

On tap at McKay's Taphouse, pours a hazy pale golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out notes of musty grape skins, moderate brett, and a touch of acidity. Flavour is similar, with lots of musty grape skins, medium acidity, light-medium tartness and a some light funk. Not overly deep, but this is well-constructed and balanced well. Solid.

Draught at The Local, Bellingham, WA; 6.2% ABV
Hazy dark amber color. Semi-sweet amber Ale, with no real character, and with some butter. How is this a Scotch Ale?
Not very good.
