Keg at Six D Norht, Aberdeen. It pours pale golden with a small white head. The nose is lemon, grapefruit, orange ,sherbet, grass and alka seltzer. The taste is crisp, bitter, sherbet, toast, minerals, zesty citrus, light spice, grass and nice bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body, fine prickly carbonation. Good hoppy low abv number. Crushable.

Keg at the hanging bat... On a cold wet and dreary tuesday afternoon... Stood at the bar... In my leather jacket and upsay daisy hat... Light hazy amber... Thin white lacing... Dry sweet toffee fruits.. Light pine zezt nose... Way to cold and fizzy... In fact painfully co2 prickle in linger... Soft fruits... Pine and orange... Juicy malts... Nice enough... Shame about the fizz

Keg@ Port St. From notes. Nose is sweet treacle. Taste is vegetative, treacle. The whiskey barrel is prominent leading to a smokey and very sweet finish with leather undercut with menthol. The mouthfeel is thick. Interesting beer that makes good use of the barrels, but was ultimately a bit rich for me.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade
Pitch black color with small collar of brown foam. Roasted malt aroma with some peat. The mouthfeel is smoother than the red wine/cranberry version. Roasted malt flavor. In this version the chocolate is more evident; also the alcohol is more evident; food peat and iodine character, correct bitterness; lightly salty.
Definitively the Islay is adding something to this beer, better than the red wine/cranberry, and not exactly sure what to do about the role of the bourbon.
