Draught @ Queens Head, London. Pours hazy dark amber with a offwhite head. Aroma of malt, fruity hops, light spice, citruspeel. Flavor is malt, light spice, ginger, herbs, dild, vegatables. Medium body, lively carbonation, rather bitter finish. Nice aroma, but i dont like the strong dild flavors i allways get from Sorachi Ace. 210913

Small glass, draught at the Mikkeller stand, London Craft Beer Festival Jet black coloured body topped by a solid, creamy, brownish head. Spotty lacing down the glass. Lovely cocoa powder on the nose, slightly roasted. Ditto lovely taste of dark chocolate and vanilla blended with dark fruits and added by a twist of smoked whisky. Mouthfilling and warming, not too sweet. Sehr gut (London 16.08.2013).

Keg at Old Coffee House. It pours black with a thick light tan head. The nose is roasty, toast, smooth smoke, honey-glazed ham, fresh citrus and light jamminess. The taste is roasty, toast, earth, coffee grinds, light smoke, cocoa, good bitterness, liquorice, zesty grapefruit and faint berry with a bitter, roasty finish. Medium body and prickly carbonation. Well rounded and flavoursome. A rather tasty smokey stout.
