Draft: Poured a murky yellow with a creamy white head. Aroma is nice hops perfume, fruity. Taste is bitter hops, citrus, fruity, piney, lively finish.

Taster at HBS. Hazy golden pour, soft off-white head, lacing. Citrusy, hoppy aroma. Taste is fruity, citrus, floral with a light bite.

On Tap at BIttercreek, Boise, Slightly hazy deep orange golden pour. Thin skin of bubbles and sticky lasting off white lacing. Some candied citrus inthe aromas, big firmly bitter hop character. Full bodied and almost chewy. Bold hoppy and punchy

On tap at the brewery pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is sweet caramel malts dank hops. Taste is more of the nice dank hops citrus and malts.

On tap at the brewery pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is strawberry some wheat and grain a little tartness. Taste is more of the berries wheat grain kick.

On tap at the brewery pours out brown topped with a sand head. Nose is nice light toast malts some citrus leaf hops. Nose is light roast malts some bread and grass hops.

On tap at Brown Beard brewery pours out dark brown almost black topped with a small tan head. Nose is nice roast malts some pine citrus hops. Taste is more of the nice roast malts rich roast pine citrus hops. Wow probably the best beer I have ever had from bear island. Well done

Draft at HomeBrewStuff. Clear amber pour, spotty head, streaky lacing. Aroma....???? Faint sweetness if you search for it. Taste has a weak malty presence, and a zippy bitterness. Neither compliments the other. Will let it warm to see if it changes.

Brown Bear'd from Bear Island Brewing Company

On tap at Bear Island taproom. Dark brown pour. Bitter piney hop aroma along with some toasted malts. Quite bitter flavors, like a bit of a light CDA. Good blend of the brown malts and the IPA bite.
