473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy copper-amber with a small, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Sweet aroma of bready caramel malt, red apple, earthy yeast and floral hops. Sweet flavour of bready caramel malt, red apple, earthy yeast and floral in a dry, mild bitter, grassy hop finish. Light to medium body with a smooth, almost creamy texture and average carbonation. Malt forward and a little dark for the style, but easy to drink and enjoyable.

473ml can. Pours a clear brown with red hue and a medium, creamy, short lived, tan head that laces nicely. Sweet aroma of toasted caramel malt, cocoa, nuts and earth. Sweet flavour of toasted bready malt, caramel, toffee, cocoa, nuts, ash and earth in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. A nice, flavourful Brown Ale.

Can. Dull gold colour, but bright. Thin bubbly head. The aroma is quite malty, with a grassy hop note...a little heavy maybe, for this type of beer. Sticky, bit of graininess, not much hop, other than vague grassiness. This probably tastes like they wanted it to, but that doesn’t answer the why.

Bottle
Robust Brown Ale, a bit metallic but not too dry, with some malt acidity.

Puke aroma, the flavor has some malt, but there is not much to say. Easy beer.

Nice dark brown with a thin head. Good aroma - full of toffees, chocolate and a little bit of nuttiness. Medium body, maybe a touch fizzy in the finish. Actually that finish really brings a lot of coffee roastiness, and bitterness. That seems a bit out of place to me, because it started more with complex dark sugars and chocolate. I guess I would have wanted some sort of molasses sweet flourish in the finish rather than coffee/hop dryness. It's not a deal-breaker mind you, just what I'd prefer given what the beer showed me prior to the finish. From what I can tell these guys kind of want to be a more mainstreamy, high-volume craft brewer. If enough people want a brown ale, this one hits the style's notes pretty well.

500mL can, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out biscuity malt and a touch of cereal sweetness. Flavour is along the same lines, with cereal malt sweetness and biscuity notes. Decent sweetness in there and very crisp. Solid blonde.

500mL can, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is moderate strength for a brown ale, with toasted malt, toasted nuts and a hint of cocoa powder. Flavour is very much the same, with toasted nuts, toasted malt, a hint of coffee and cocoa powder. Very dry, yet with a good balance and just a hint of underlying sweetness. Medium-bodied for the style. Nicely made - a good by-the-books brown ale.
