Made with Thai ginger. Big ginger aroma with spice and caramel - quite assertive. Well-balanced flavour...leads with caramel, hints at bubblegum and lemon then brings a spicy ginger finish. Though in the aroma it threatened to be a ginger bomb it turned out to be much softer on the palate.

Densely-sedimented almost to the point of grayness. Nice aroma - assertive with lots of marshmallowy malts, lime juice and coriander. Full body. Nice quenching wheat. Balanced coriander and restrained orange. Herbal hop provides counterpart to the big marshmallow malts. Nice...and that’s despite the brewer’s claim it is starting to get a little long in the tooth.

10% unmalted rye. Hazy amber. Big fruity, yoghurty aroma filled with tangerines. Quite a fresh, citrusy bitterness - orange, tangerine. The finish is dry. When it gets too warm it gets sort of tannic...maybe that’s the rye...I’m pretty bad at picking out rye. Not bad. Certainly the hoppiest beer they’ve brewed, to my recollection.

Bright dark amber colour. Malty, earthy, woody, almost smoky aroma. Chewy, toasty, rich brown sugar maltiness. Nice hop bite underneath. Just when you think it’s going to get too sweet, the alcohol kicks in to clean things up. Bigness, nuance, subtlety...nice barley wine.

Dark amber colour. Fairly sweet with hints of molasses. Weird body - syrupy but thin. Kind of nutty. Flavours are rather vague.

Slightly hazy golden-amber. Refreshing berryish, lightly limey hop character. A little brown sugar stickiness in the malts, but not out of whack. There are some off-notes (fusels, perhaps) but when the beer’s cold you don’t notice much. But as you get down the end of the glass it becomes totally undrinkable. This beer was Docksidish last time out, it’s not all that much better this time.

Off-clear colour. Slight appley aroma. Fresh, light grainy notes with hints of apple on the palate. Light bodied and a bit water in the finish.
