Description
At Ancestry Brewing, we are building a lineage of family crafted ales, one brew at a time. We pride ourselves on paying attention to detail and quality. The first Ancestry location was opened in 2016 in Tualatin, OR with a taproom and . For a small brewery, we have a beautiful selection of hops that include Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, El Dorado, EKG, Simcoe, and Amarillo to name a few. These fantastic hops will find their homes in our primary "3 Pillars" of beer - American, English, and Belgian. Each of these categories will be complimented by our cask and barrel program that we plan to grow over time.

You can find our beers on tap in one of our three locations, at many grocery stores, your favorite restaurant or taproom. We bottle our most popular flagship beers like Best Coast IPA and Irish Red and recently started canning Ancestry IPA in 12oz cans and a 16oz Hazy Rotator (Aussie Hazy IPA, Glori Haze IPA and Experimental IPA #6). We invite you to come see our brewery in Tualatin and get a pour straight from our Zwickels. We pride ourselves on connecting with our customers better than any brewery out there! We now have a Mug Club!!! Signing up get early access to news and beer releases. We are excited for you to join the family!

750mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is deep, with notes of wood, chocolate and subdued cherries. Flavour is deep, with a very nice bourbon barrel character upfront, followed by chocolate and cherry in good balance. Very good blend of bourbon, chocolate and cherry, with a touch of tartness from the cherry. Cohesive, relatively complex and well-balanced. Very good.

Dark brown. Not much head. The aroma is fun...a light molasses, almond, chocolate, touch of cherry...good complexity here. Very sweet, really nice molasses character, with those dark burnt sugars, raisins, again the nice almond sweetness, and a touch of the cherry. But the cherry really is an afterthought. The barrel lends that really nice sweetness, vanilla, and that goes well with the stout. In the finish, alcohol, wood, molasses, chocolate...really nice stuff.
