At Ancestry Brewing, we are building a lineage of family crafted ales, one brew at a time. We pride ourselves on paying attention to detail and quality. The first Ancestry location was opened in 2016 in Tualatin, OR with a taproom and . For a small brewery, we have a beautiful selection of hops that include Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, El Dorado, EKG, Simcoe, and Amarillo to name a few. These fantastic hops will find their homes in our primary "3 Pillars" of beer - American, English, and Belgian. Each of these categories will be complimented by our cask and barrel program that we plan to grow over time.
You can find our beers on tap in one of our three locations, at many grocery stores, your favorite restaurant or taproom. We bottle our most popular flagship beers like Best Coast IPA and Irish Red and recently started canning Ancestry IPA in 12oz cans and a 16oz Hazy Rotator (Aussie Hazy IPA, Glori Haze IPA and Experimental IPA #6). Fancy corked bottle. 12.7 ounces. Thanks to Trevor. Pours a very dark color, almost black dark brown. A big yeasty estery banana and malt nose. Sweet, big dark fruit, banana; cloves, fizzy body. Very good, light chocolates.
500 ml bottle thanks to Trevor. Pours a mahogany color with a large cream colored head. A big candied malty nose. Big, sweet, dark fruit, nutty, candied fruit, almost berry like, toffee. Quite nice.
500 ml bottle. Pours a almost pitch black hue with a large beige head. A big sweet nose, chocolate and vanilla. Rich, as the name suggests, very sweet, donuts, chocolate, big vanilla bean, rich coffee. Solid. Needs to be 10% for the sweetness.
500 ml bottle thanks to Eric. A Coronavirus delivery. Pours a slightly cloudy orange hue with a large white head. A big pungent fruity melon nose. Rich, marmalade, oranges, bursting fresh fruit, big malty base. Almost BW like. Very damn good.
Sample at GABF 10/05/2019, thanks to kathryneels for assistance with note-taking. Cola-brown pour with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Patchy lacing. Aroma of bourbon, yeast, fruit and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, fruity yeast and caramel malt. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and yeast aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
Sample at GABF 10/05/2019, thanks to kathryneels for assistance with note-taking. Cloudy pale orange color with a thin white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of herbal hops, tropical fruit and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of mildly spicy hops, tropical fruits and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Above average overall.
16 ounce can. Pours a hazy orange hue with a medium white head. A big sticky sweet citrus nose. Big citrus, bursting oranges, some soft vanilla. Very fresh and flavorful. Lovely.
Cask conditioned version Black body with light tan head. Chocolate and caramel aroma. Chocolate in the taste, with caramel and breadiness; Clean finish
