On tap at Gruff. Pours light gold with a white head. Damp, ashy wooden smoke on the nose. Flavour has a present, but half-assed smoked quality. It had the basic malt and hop qualities of a craft beer, but none of the finesse.

On tap at Gruff. Pours a murky gold with a white head. Woody pine and sweet biscuit malts on the nose. Flavour has allium and dry pine. Not bad, hops are solid; my appreciation grows; it's a good IPA.

On tap at the Bellingham brewery/taproom. Slightly hazy deep orange peach pour with a thin ring of bubbles. Smooth full malt feel modest piney hop flavors and bitterness. Smooth

On tap at Gruff, pours a lightly hazed golden with a small white head. Aroma is a hit muddled, with earthy hops and bready malt. Flavour is odd, with a bready malt base, muddled earthy hops, and light bitterness. Seems more dry malt-driven. Clean enough, just not the type of WCIPA I’d go for.

On tap at Gruff, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has some citrus peel, light tropical notes, and some pine. Flavour is very tropical and vibrant, with lots of citrus hops, tropical fruit, pine, and some resins. Really tropical finish, maintaining wonderful hoppy bitterness. Okay, this is excellent.

On tap at Gruff, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has lots of crunchy vegetal notes… this isn’t good. Flavour is messed up, with vegetal notes, diacetyl and other messed up citrusy hoppiness. This isn’t good at all.

On tap at Gruff, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is muddled, with grapefruit peel, earthy hops, and bready malt. Flavour has plenty of grapefruit peel, floral hops, light pine, and bready malt. Reasonably structured, with a bunch of bitter grapefruit peel to finish. Good stuff.
