Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark Amber color, almost brown, with compact head. Dark malts, a bit roasty, very light chocolate, some ash in the final; medium to strong bitterness, bit no apparent hop qualities.
The flavor has many interesting factors, the beer overall is a bit old style and undaring.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a cloudy dark amber / mahogany with a small off-white head. Aroma is actually rather restrained, with light resin and bready caramel. Flavour is more pronounced, with considerable resinous hops, some pine and a bready caramel malt backbone. Finishes without any bitterness at all and not like usual CDAs, as there is no roasted malt at all. Decent, but not up to the standard of most other Barkerville beers.

Draft @ Hops New West. Medium brown, light nutty and woody nose. Sweeter brown ale taste on the palate, not really showing the strength but maybe asking for more hops. Nice mellow toffee character. It’s not hoppy at all - think "Imperial Brown Ale" - but well-balanced and enjoyable.

Very modest head and a macro-lager amber coloured body. Aroma of macro lager swill like cardboard with a hint of caramel. Flavour is a middling affair of malt with a dry finish that vaguely hints at hops. Best summed up as "meh", maybe kinda fun if you drink it and wander around drunk in Barkerville.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver
Brown color with generous head. Less boring than most Brown Ales because this one actually has some malt and chocolate flavor; in the final there is a hint of chicory-like bitterness.
Nice.

Draught at Vancouver Craft Beer Week 2015
Cloudy golden color, frothy head. The cereal and malt aroma is very nice. Sweetish malt flavor, the only note out of tune is some vegetables in the final.
To be tuned, but promising.

On tap at VCBW Fest, pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Nose is quite light and crisp, with straw, biscuity malt and grassy hops. Flavour is quite crisp, with grassy hops, biscuity malt, and straw. Very well-structured, with very high drinkability. Finishes crisp and lightly bitter. Very good.

Dark brown, medium caramel head. Rich, roasty. Sweet molasses, lots of rich hoppy bitterness. Characterful and complex.
