Weak medium brown body and bad foam. Soft buttery chocolate on the nose, vague sweey coffee. Taste is wet burnt coffee, slight sugar, okay carbonation. Really falling flat for the style.

Clean brown body good creamy foam. Fruity malt aroma, vague caramel. Taste is hoppy caramel, slight biscuit, ends carbonated. Missing a good ESB vibe but still okay.

650ml bottle. Pours a hazy copper with a huge, frothy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Mild floral aroma with biscuity malt, orange, tropical fruit and pine. Sweet, fruity flavour of passion fruit, pineapple, orange pith, mild grapefruit, biscuity malt and pine with a bitter, sour, floral hop finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Not bad.

tap - Pours very dark brown with a dense light tan head. It smells of roast malt. The similar flavor also has some coffee in it, but unfortunately it’s thin and bland. It’s not an impressive stout at all.

650ml bottle at Matt’s. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, some earthy notes. Taste is hoppy piney bitter. Very aggresive bitterness, therefore it is not good balanced.

Bottle - Tea leaf hops and some Woody notes. Cloudy gold with a decent beige head. Sweet and bitter with nothing interesting to offer.

Bottle from Kitsilano Liquor Store; tagged 110315
Cloudy amber color with small to no head. Some resiny hops, malt soup, fairly sweet, some toffee, strong bitterness in the end.
Not fresh, not bad though.

650mL bottle, pours a cloudy opaque orange with a small white head. Aroma is fairly abrasive, with resinous hops, booze, and perfume. Flavour is less abrasive, with perfumey and resinous hops upfront, followed by booze and dry caramely biscuity malt. Abrasive and messy, but still fairly solid. Decent.

Wow, Canadians maybe are entering the 20th century by allowing the word "ass" to be a part of a beverage! But anyways the head is modest, brown-black body, minimal carbonation. Nice coffee-baker’s chocolate vibe going on here, a laid-back chocolate cake even, smart and subtle but also kinda funky and not in a good way. It stumbles on the flavour though, rather weak and watery murky barley with hints of coffee. Coulda been a contenda, I tells ya, if it smacked you to your face. Instead it’s tepid stuff, like a bathtub you dropped some used coffee grounds into. Hit n miss boys, hit n miss.
