Medium brown, not much head. Aroma is a lot of roast, lots of hop, but some thing is not quite right. It is astringent, thin. None of the stuff on the nose is here. Bland, not good, and nothing really working out.

Dark brown. Bubbly head. There’s some roast, but tart and sewagey. Thin, bland and the tartness and wonky yeast overwhelms the beer.

Tasting at Josh’s
Black color, beige head. It starts quite well, with roasted malts, coffee, a bit earthy, musky. Dry, but with a good body strength; too roasty, ashy; and also too much sourness; and definitively the roastiness is aggressive in the final.
Not good.

Bottle - Toffee, cocoa and and piney like hops. Deep cloudy brown with a small light brown head. Toast, dark bread and pine. Something is very odd here, not sure what it is, just not good.

Black color, beige head. Roasted malts aroma, milk cream, a bit skunky. Dry mouthfeel, some roasted malt flavor, some stale water.
Stale feelings, not very good.

Pouring at 12.6 celcius it has pretty good head and foggy amber body on the lighter side. Strong fruity hops on the nose with Belgian yeast notes. Flavour is more Belgian yeast, hay, slight mustiness surrounded by hoppy notes. Medium finish. Really good even in the crowded IPA market.

Bottle from Darby’s Liquor, Vancouver
Black color, small frothy head. Smell of dusty chilies (chipotle?). Thin beer, a bit too much liquorice in the flavor, and some undeclared chilies, dusty; weak finish.
Not totally bad, but weird.
