On tap at Faction. It pours a lightly hazed pale orange color with an off white head. The aroma is full with red wine, light vinegar and barrel notes. Lots of berry and stone fruits. The flavor is smooth and creamy with more stone fruit, mostly peach, mango, plum and noticeable woody vanilla barrel notes. Nice mild to medium sourness. Hints of vinegar and funk, but it’s covered over by creamy lacto fruitiness. Nice debut sour from Rodger and crew.

On tap at Faction. It pours a clear pale gold color with a white head. The aroma is fruity with hints of grape, citrus and pineapple. The flavor is dry and kind of dank/earthy with hints of melon, white grape and crackers. Medium bitterness. Mild, but very pleasant.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Juicy grapefruit aroma with pine and light summer fruit. Grapefruit and pine flavor with summer fruit. Medium bodied. Very good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with summer fruit and light caramel.

On tap at Faction. It pours black with a thick tan head. The aroma is rich with heavy chocolate, smoke and smores. A little tobacco. The flavor is the same. Very powerful smoke and roast, caramel and tobacco. Some toast and graham cracker. Bitter toasted finish. Full creamy body. Mmmm.

On tap at Faction. It pours a golden honeyed color with a small white head. The aroma is floral and sweet with berries, orange, grapefruit and toasted malt. The flavor is nice with sweet fruity maltiness. Tangerine, berries and light florals in a dry finish. Biscuity malts. Spicy floral finish. Good one.

On tap at Faction. It pours dark brown with a tan head. The aroma is strong with chocolate and coffee. A little cola, but pretty rich with the roast and cocoa. Maybe a hint of vanilla as it warms. The flavor is good. Medium to light bodied with massive coffee roast. No astringency or tartness. Heavy roast though. Pretty dry. I like my coffee stouts with a bit more body, but the flavors here are nice.

On tap at Faction. It pours a clear light golden color with an off white head. The aroma is grassy and earthy. Hints of grapefruit and coconut. The flavor is smooth with more grass, dank earth, coconut, orange and hints of toasted malt. Very dry with solid bitterness. Interesting stuff, these South African hops.

On tap at Faction. It pours a clear pale yellow with a white head. The aroma is interesting with bright tangerine, lime and cider notes. A little bread in the background. The flavor is very light and dry with more tangerine, dry cider notes, hints of earth with a mildly citric, spicy bitter finish. Mild bready and fruity esters. An interesting beer. A little weak in the body, but drinkable and a unique hop character.
