Brown color, thin creamy head. Some malt and roasted malt aroma. Medium dry body; malt and caramel; the liquorice is developed lately. The bitterness raises towards the end. A reasonable stout. Thanks Jens (Ungstrup)

Very dark with good head. Malty with a hint of licorice, but it’s way to watery for my taste.

Amber color; creamy head. Sweet caramel aroma, and fudge. Strong, sweet, caramel character. Quite strong bitterness at the end. Fairly good Julöl, but not really complex…

Bottled. Murky dark amber. Cellary caramel aroma. Firm, but clean hard mouthfeel. Bitterish finish. Aromatic. Thanks Ungstrup for this and many other beers!

The aroma is very fruity with notes of malt and straws - much like the other brews from Svaneke. The color is a dark amber and it has a beutiful head. The flavor a is very rounded sweet flavor with notes of malt, straws, and a weak but very good bitterness. A really good flavor.

Sampled draught at the Danish Beer Festival.
Almost black with off-white head. Rich aroma of dark chocolate. Clean, fatty maltiness. Rather sweet with grassy salty licorice finish.

An amber beer with a fine head. The aroma is brewmashy, hoppy, and very fresh. The flavor is fresh and has a good hoppyness, and sweetness combining in a good balance with notes of brewmash. The bitterness lingers. A fantastic renewal to the Danish beerscene. In flavor it's comparable to an IPA.
