Stormcloud Brewing Company opened June 2013 in the harbor town of Frankfort, Michigan. Tucked between the soaring sand dunes and stormy shores of northern Lake Michigan, Stormcloud specializes in brewing Belgian Inspired ales.

On tap at the Taproom. Pours a fully hazed golden with a white head. Light yeasty wheat aroma. Flavor has light wheat and yeastiness with a citrus edge.

On tap at the Taproom. Pours a fully hazed pale yellow with a white head. Fruity grapefruit, pineapple hops in the aroma. Flavor has grapefruit hops, a bit tropical, pine. Pretty good.

Plane 17, June 2019: Simcoe, ADHA 527, ADHA 529. Pine and tropical aroma. Lots of pine, grapefruit hop flavor, some tropical fruit hoppiness. Nicely juicy, good bitterness. This one is really good.

Plane 16, July 2018: Simcoe hops with a touch of Columbus. Piney spicy hop aroma. Flavor has piney, spicy, grapefruit hops. More rounded than Plane 15.

Plane 15, June 2018: 100% Simcoe hops (Plane 14 was also 100% Simcoe hops, though I didn't catch that one). Clear gold pour, white head. Spicy and pine hop aroma. Spicy and pine hop flavors, pale malt. Also not my favorite.

Plane 13, July 2017: Centennial, Citra, Columbus, Simcoe, & Amarillo hops (like Plane 12, I assume different proportions). Clear gold pour with a white head. Herbal floral aroma, pale malt. Floral, grassy, pine, citrus hop flavors, toasty pale malt. About the same as 12.

Plane 12, June 2017: Centennial, Citra, Columbus, Simcoe, & Amarillo hops. Clear deep golden with a white head. Floral citrus and pine hop aroma. Floral pine hops, grapefruit citrus, bitterness. Not my favorite plane.

Plane 8, September 2016: Apollo, Centennial, Simcoe, Mosaic, & Citra hops. Clear gold pour with a white head. Spicy and floral hop aromas. Flavor has spicy, earthy, citrus hop flavors.

Plane 7, May 2016: Apollo, Centennial, Mosaic, & Simcoe hops. Clear deep golden pour with a white head. Aroma strong in pine, plus floral and citrus hop aromas. Citrus, pine, floral flavors, slightly sweet and a touch grassy.

Plane 3 - 2015: Centennial, Apollo, & Jarrylo hops. Golden amber pour with a white head. Herbal hop aroma with a bit of pine. Herbal and very piney flavor, on the bitter side. Not as good as Plane 2 or the original. 3.8
