Description
Mash Cult is the nano brewing “project” from Jon Wells and Tony Harrell that takes place in the Party Town warehouse in Florence Kentucky. Their strange location, and lack of an actual taproom coupled with their nano size (They are brewing on a 3bbl system) mean that they get left off of people’s Cincinnati Brewery lists way more often than they deserve. Don’t miss these guys, though – not only are they brewing up some really great things, they have been toying with the idea of an actual brick and mortar location for a while… so keep your eyes peeled!

Tap@Mash Cult. Pours clear golden, large white head, good lacing. Aroma is floral, Belgian spices, oranges, pine. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter. Medium body.

Tap. Pours clear amber, large white head, decent lacing. Aroma is pine and grapefruit. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter. Medium body, soft mouthfeel.

On tap at Mash Cult. Cloudy deep golden with small white head. Aroma is nice clove, medium/light body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is phenols and a little clove.

Growler: Hazy yellow/amber with a thin, off-white ring. Scent has a bit of vinegar to start, but it fades.....lemon, peach.....bourbon. Very sweet flavour....peach nectar, sweet bourbon. Nice body.....almost sticky. Pretty nice.

Draft. Vanilla, cranberry, and biscuit malt aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Moderately sweet vanilla, cranberry, biscuit malt, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Good body. Strong vanilla.

Draft. Chiles, pepper, biscuit malt, and hay aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Mildly sweet biscuit malt, chile peppers, peppercorn, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body. Nice blending.

Draft. Bourbon, peach, biscuit malt, and straw aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Mildly sweet peach, biscuit malt, bourbon, and lightly bitter hay flavor. Okay body. Interesting.
