Pours amber brown with very small head. The aroma is mostly bourbon with some dark fruit under the caramelly, bourbony lead. The flavor is very sweet with tons of bourbon. Oak, caramel, vanilla. Think of it as a very bourbon heavy dessert.

Pours near black with a small tan head. The aroma is of roast malt and coffee. Flavors of dark roast malt and coffee dominate. Malty sweetness is joined by hints of chocolate and there’s some mild hops bitterness in the finish. Full bodied.

Pours hazy orange with a small off white head. Aroma is of honey and a little citrus hops. The flavor is quite sweet with lots of honey. There’s some hops bitterness in there but the honey sweetness dominates. It’s too much. I’d usually say if the ingredient is in the title, make it obvious in the flavor, but in this case, tone down the honey.

I think I had this beer in the before-times, pre-Covid. I'm well into the old rating notes now. It pours dark amber with a small light tan head. The intense flavor is malty with toffee and woody character. As it warms the dark fruit comes out more, especially plums. It's boozy and has a big dose of hops for balance, finishing somewhat bitter. Excellent beer.

Black pour with a small tan head. It smells of roast malt, chocolate, caramel, and a little cinnamon. The flavor is sweet with chocolate, caramel, roast malt, and a touch of cinnamon. My wife says tobacco, which I don't get, but she swears it tastes like pipe smoke smells. So I guess YMMV. Anyway, it's full bodied and very good.
