2024 bottle from trade. Malty roast stout nose once uncapped. Hmm… I had thought this was a barrel-aged stout, but the label only says it was lagered. In what, they don't say. But once poured, it's a deep brown to black beer with a lot of fizz feeding a head that's gone in an instant. Nose brings in a lot more alcohol, suggesting it comes from the abv alone. Taste is indeed boozy. Not a lot of roast, and a light mouthfeel. But its booziness is a nice feature. No dregs in the bottom of the bottle, so it's also filtered.

pint bottle. Pours a jet black color with minimal head. The aroma is strong with well roasted grains, dark chocolate and anise. The taste featured mostly anise, followed by burnt grains and some bitter walnuts. The palate seemed a bit off, not the rich creamy I usually expect from a big stout. Finishes long with lingering burnt grains. Overall: nice, but not great.

Pint Bottle (1 pt 0.9 oz). Pours a dense black color with a smallish beige head that slowly recedes. The aroma is big and bold with raspberries and a trace of vanilla. The flavor is raspberries, chocolates, vanilla, and just a hint of chili. The palate is full and creamy with soft carbonation. Finishes long with lingering raspberries. Overall: I seem to be way more thrilled with this than the other more discerning raters on this site. And, I say that as a person who doesn't normally care for fruited beers. Oh, well to each his own, I loved it.

Wrote a review and submitted it with an error. Have to resubmit. Everything I considered has changed. Very annoying.

Medium head. Golden color, about 50% haze.
Very herbal aroma. Of course, there’s also some tropical character, bubble gum, and the usual IPA notes, but the herbal note is the most prominent.
The slightest hint of a fridge-like aroma is present in the background.
In terms of taste, it’s very good and balanced, with moderate sweetness and slightly higher bitterness. I really like it.
The body is between medium and light.
Calling it simply drinkable wouldn’t do it justice. It’s more than a solid IPA.

Aromas are dark malt, raspberries and a bit of roast. Flavors are similar to nose with raspberry being very dominant. Not especially sweet and even has a little bitter. Average body and carbonation. I think it would have been better with not so much raspberry. Or more balanced.
