Draught @ The Open Gate as Guinness Smoked Stout Aroma has toffee and licorice. Feels mellow. Flavour has licorice, peaty smoke, maltiness. Tar-leathery finish. Quite what it promises to be; Guinness with smoke and peat.

Draught @ The Open Gate, Dublin. Aroma has grapefruit and some bush leaves. Flavour has grainy malt, some cereal and mild fruitiness. Finishes with mellow grapefruity hop bite. Clean and easy to drink but then again rather mellow and uninteresting.

Jet black with a foamy beige head, and a subtle aroma of roasted coffee and milk chocolate. The mouthfeel is creamy and velvety, offering up flavours of roasted malt and sweet, dark fruits, and a touch of spice, finishing with a slight, dry bitterness
