Big Bottle. Puored a pale gold, moderate to large head, very fragant & floral, not overwhelmingly bitter. Good but I don’t know if it was twice (thrice?) as good as regular Duvel given the price point.

Bottle. Clear deep golden body with a white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grapefruit juice, lemon zest and yellow pepper. Flavour of zingy citrus, lavender and tangy yeast. Thin to medium body with an oily texture. Light fizz. A zippy, refreshing Belgian IPA.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness. It pours crystal clear golden with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, perfumed, banana split, honeydew melon, poached pear, nougat, tapioca, you h of spice, honey cake, cracker and cereal. The taste is crisp, firm, dry, snappy, pleasing bitterness, peppery spice, slap of booze, pear, melon, green banana, soft sponge cake and crisp biscuit with a firmly dry and boozey finale. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. The alcohol is definitely a big part of this, but I am enjoying the pleasantly numbing feeling. Not as good as triple hop, but an enjoyable offering nonetheless.
