16oz can pours a dark, coffee brown/black with some creamy, swirling ecru head. Nose has light toast and malt, light coffee, some light smoke, a little licorice. Flavor has some more caramel or brown sugar than the nose let on, grain, some black pepper, toast, light smoke. Finishes just off dry, a little creamy. Nicely done. 8 4 7 3 14

Draft at Wet City. Empty base beer with spices. This brewery sounds good but tastes disappointing every time.
